2017 Experience Recap

Program Background

Welcome to the second annual General Motors Discover Your Drive NAIAS Student Journalism Experience!

Our goal in creating this program is to expose you to the auto show experience in Detroit, giving you access to executives, exclusive product reveals, press conferences, and subject matter experts. We have partnered with media from around the country to help guide you through this event. During your time in Detroit, you will be working on a team with other students to produce well-executed and polished news content that we hope will provide you with admirable pieces to add to your portfolios.

By the end of NAIAS, you will understand that the world of automotive is not just a way to get from point A to point B. It is about products, design, technology, safety, engineering, lifestyles, fashion, music, business, history and much, much more.
